7/15/2025 Ways to Use Chatbots embedded in a Browser

With the advent of chatbots such as Perplexity integrated into their Browser Comet, it’s fair to ask “what’s going to change in how we use these together?”

One consideration is the platform the browser is on: Gmail? Youtube? X?, Facebook? LinkedIn? etc etc

If you have been using a chatbot along side the platform in another browser instance or window, how might the integration improve your workflow, say requiring a lot less copy/ paste or prompting detail. And the chatbot can now take actions in the browser window

The coming series is going to examine this workflow in detail.

For example:

• getting the transcript out of a youtube video, then saving it to summararize it , develop it and create a new video from it is very very simple

• finding past gmails using natural language queries is possible

• dealing with X threads can be a lot simpler.

• type comments into a reddit thread

• etc.

We’ll be exploring these and other workflows in the coming emails.

And, OpenAI is coming out with their version which we’ll address as well.

In addition, Google’s NotebookLM will be discussed in the same context
