BookX - a project name for a new way to author and publish books with AI assistance as a set of tools for human authors

Writing and publishing a book involves many steps carried out by many people and organizations

Roughly speaking there are the following Categories:

Authors - the folks who conceive and write books

Readers - the folks who consume the material the Authors create

Editors - a resource to shape up the content according to some criteria in agreement with the Author but possibly inconsistent with the Author’s vision in some cases

Publishers - a resource that takes the Author’s work to market. Often includes staff to create downstream formats, translations, distributions, etc of the original work.

Tool Vendors - create tools, often digital, for the various groups of humans working on various phases of the book. Will include AI in the future as both a tool vendor and tool consumer.

Consultants and Service Providers - assist humans in the various stages and phases of the book development and production. Will include AI in the future as both a producer and consumer of the services.
